We have fixed 119 normal fixed cameras and 6 advanced ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) Cameras here. All these CC Cameras were also connected to the Control Room in the Colony Society Office and the Banjara Hills Police Station, for surveillance and immediate action.”
The inauguration of the CCTV cameras hub was done by Sri Anjani Kumar IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad. Addressing the astute gathering of community members, colony residents, police offices, Brihaspathi’s staff and general public Sri Anjani Kumar IPS, Commissioner of Police shared his joy and happiness. He said, “on this occasion, on behalf of the society, and elders, I thank all. In the beginning of the New Year, this is the first function of city police which is the community CCTV cameras inauguration.” He continued by saying, “almost every 10 - 15 days in every colony, every zone, and every division with community partnership and community leadership we have initiated this program. The role of the Hyderabad police is only to act as a facilitator. But the main work of concept, ownership and maintenance is the duty of the community.”
