The Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, represent a critical democratic process aimed at electing members to the Legislative Council. These elections are pivotal in shaping the legislative landscape, providing a platform for citizens to participate in the democratic governance of the state
Project Objectives:
The main objective was aimed to elevate the efficiency, transparency, and security of the MLC Elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Hyderabad, in 2023. The comprehensive approach sought to address not only the technical aspects of connectivity and surveillance but also the broader goals of fostering a secure and transparent democratic process.
1. Increase Connectivity Coverage:
The primary objective was to enhance connectivity coverage across the 12 districts where the MLC Elections were scheduled. This involved implementing a robust network infrastructure for reliable communication and data transmission at 1450 polling stations.
2. Capture Entire Election and Livestreaming Process:
The project aimed to deploy a surveillance system to capture the entire election process across the 12 districts. Additionally, live streaming capabilities were integrated to provide real-time visibility into the polling proceedings.
3. Ensure Security During the Election for a Safer Environment:
The project prioritized the safety and security of the election process by implementing surveillance solutions. The objective was to create a secure environment both inside and outside the premises of the 1450 polling stations spread across the 12 districts. This included monitoring public areas, entrances, and key points to prevent any untoward incidents during the election.
Solutions Implemented:
1. Installation of IP Dome and Bullet Cameras:
In response to the objective of capturing the entire election process, we installed a total of 1450 Wi-Fi IP CCTV cameras. These cameras were strategically placed across the 1450 polling stations in the 12 districts
2. Implementation of Live Streaming:
To provide real-time monitoring of the polling process, we facilitated live streaming in every district headquarters. This solution allowed election officials and relevant authorities to observe and oversee the polling activities simultaneously at various locations.
3. Provision of Memory Cards for Recording:
Recognizing the importance of maintaining a record of the entire polling process, we equipped each individual camera with memory cards. This provision resulted in detailed and accurate record of the election proceedings was stored for future reference and auditing purposes.
Challenges Faced During MLC Elections 2023:
1. Network Feasibility in Remote Areas:
Challenge: Given that many polling stations were situated in extremely remote rural areas, determining network feasibility posed a significant challenge. The varying topography and limited existing infrastructure in these locations necessitated a detailed assessme

1. Achieving 100% Accuracy in Live Streaming:
We responded to this challenge by conducting thorough surveys. The surveys were instrumental in understanding the unique network requirements of each remote polling station. We ensured the successful live streaming of the polling process on election day with a commitment to achieving 100% accuracy. This involved the seamless transmission of real-time video feeds from the 1450 polling stations across the 12 districts
