Logo Design

A design is something that is vital to any design project as it will provide the designer(s) with all the information needed to exceed your expectations.

A design should primarily focus on the results and outcomes of the design and the business objectives of the design project. It should not attempt to deal with the aesthetics of design… That is the responsibility of the designer.

This is design also allows you (the client) to focus on exactly what you want to achieve before any work starts on the project.

A good design will ensure that you get a high quality design that meets your needs, providing you have chosen the right designer.

Brochures

A Brochure is an informative paper document (often also used for advertising), that can be folded into a flyer, pamphlet or leaflet. Brochures are advertising pieces mainly used to introduce a company or organization and inform about products and/or services to atarget audience. Brochures are distributed by radio, handed out personally or placed in brochure racks. They may be considered as grey literature. Brochures are now available in electronic format and are called e-brochures.

Corporate Presentations

This is one way of having a say in the development of ideas and policies that affect our lives. Having that say is a basic freedom entrenched in Canadian society, yet very few groups or individuals grasp the opportunity. Perhaps the idea of preparing and presenting a brief seems intimidating as one task. Let's break it down into smaller parts and tackle one at a time.

Members of the committee can then divide the workload, for there are more jobs than just writing the brief, as you will soon read. The committee should then work towards a target completion date for the brief, under the leadership of the chair, perhaps reporting back to the main body of the organization before the brief is presented.

Title Page:

Include the title of your organization, or the subject you are addressing; your name or the name of your organization; the date; and the name of the group receiving your brief.

Summary Of Recommendations:

If you are making only one or two recommendations, they could be included in the executive summary. If there are more, they deserve a summary of their own for quick reference for the busy reader. This is particularly helpful for public officials who want to know quickly what you want them to do.

Visiting Cards/ID Cards

Visiting cards are cards bearing business information about a company or individual. They are shared during formal introductions as a convenience and a memory aid. A business card typically includes the giver's name, company or business affiliation (usually with a logo) and contact information such as street addresses, telephone number(s), fax number, e-mail addresses and website. As web designers and developers, we often overlook printed marketing materials. But on occasion, they can come in very handy: at conferences, when we meet face-to-face with clients, having business cards is a great way to promote yourself in the physical world. Of course, since web design is a creative field, you’ll want your business card to serve as a sort of mini portfolio that displays your skills. You should put the same time and energy into designing your business cards that you put into designing a website.
